Fertility Specialist Services
Are you having trouble falling pregnant?
It may be time to come and discuss the possible reasons why things are taking longer than expected.
This may range from looking into lifestyle factors that need to change through to arranging tests that may help determine where the problem lies.
If tests indicate you need some assistance this can come in various forms;
Surgery, ovulation induction (OI), intrauterine insemination (IUI), In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT), donor eggs, sperm or embryos.
Dr Martin will provide you with an honest assessment of your chances of conceiving.
Go to Marcela’s page on IVF Australia to find out more about IVF treatments.
In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
Dr Marcela Martin is part of the team at IVF Australia. She trained in infertility under their guidance in Sydney and attained further studies in the field.
As a member of IVFA, Dr Martin attends regular meetings and international conferences to help keep up to date with the latest technology and evidence-based results.
She performs egg retrievals and embryo transfers for her patients. Support is offered to all patients going through this process. This can range from our administration team who help you understand how to best optimise your Medicare or health fund rebates, through to nurses who call you personally with your blood results. Our counsellors are also available to those patients that feel they need additional support.
“There are many things on the internet that promise people increased fertility. I just hope couples arrange a consultation to hear the facts before they risk losing time. They might be pleasantly surprised by their own results, and it’s that reassurance that may help them enjoy the baby making journey once more”.
Donor Programs
Dr Martin can offer assistance with obtaining donor sperm, donor eggs and donor embryos.
If you are interested in becoming a donor yourself please come in for a free consultation.
Are you thinking about becoming a parent on your own?
If you are considering becoming a sole parent we are here to support you and provide you with the medical assistance you need to help get you there.
We have access to a donor sperm bank and follow all necessary NSW regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and your future children.
You are welcomed to come in and discuss your options.
Same Sex Couples
Dr Martin has had the pleasure of helping many same sex couples become a family. She would be delighted to assist you if you are considering using your own eggs or egg sharing, and arrange access to donor sperm. For men, she can assist with egg collections from an egg donor, making embryos and help you navigate the process of using a surrogate.
Surrogacy
If you need to discuss this topic or already have a surrogate available to you, Dr Martin can guide and support you through what can seem a very complex process. Medical care will be provided for every member that makes up such a special team to build a family.
Egg Freezing
Are you curious to learn whether egg freezing is an option for yourself? This is now a readily available service for women. Quality information, regarding whether this is good choice for you, is essential.
Sadly, many women don’t think about this option until they are at an age that is less than ideal for egg freezing. However, all women have a right to examine their options at any age.
The actual process of an egg freezing program will generally take between 10 -14 days and will require you to miss one day from work.
We have a generation of women who are well informed about how not to get pregnant but with minimal information on how to control their own fertility potential. Even if you decide not to freeze your eggs you will not regret investing time discussing this option. Dr Martin will help you make an informed decision.
Fertility Preservation
If you have a medical condition such as severe endometriosis, various autoimmune conditions, or are at risk of premature ovarian failure, or if you are about to undergo medical treatment that may leave you infertile such as chemotherapy, Dr Martin is able to preserve your eggs, sperm or embryos to allow you to still become a parent after your treatment is completed.
